Soul Paintings

This art form is what I refer to as a Soul painting or Spirit painting. It is channeled art and by that I mean my ego is not present. I tap into the energy of the individual I am painting and everything flows from there. Colors and design have an energy of their own, I simply follow their instruction.

There is a story behind this type of painting I would like to share with you. In the late 1800’s a doctor of psychiatry became the head of a psychiatric hospital. When he asked his predecessor what types of treatments were being offered to the patients, he was told the patients were helpless and their only treatment was drug therapy to keep them quiet and under control.

Before coming to this hospital, the doctor had been introduced to a form of art that was said to contain healing energies. He knew first hand this was true because of his personal experiences with earlier patients. It seemed the style and form the art took on connected with the person and brought peace and healing of the soul. The first thing he did when he assumed his new position was to give each patient paper and paint and showed them how to start in the center of the page, leaving it white and working out from there, using only their hands. The awakening that took place through this therapy was extraordinary and many lives were helped through this creative outlet.

When I tap into your energy I put on canvas the healing energies your Soul desires. The colors used and the shapes that appear speak their special language to you.

I do not need to meet the person(s) being painted but I do need a picture. The picture will be returned.

I use the finest oils and linen and stretch my own canvas which gives you flexibility on the size. By the way, using linen guarantees the painting will last lifetime after lifetime unlike cotton canvas which has a much shorter life span.



The pricing follows: Shipping is additional.

Allow a minimum of 30 days from the date of the order to receive the finished piece.

Minimum fee is $150

1) 200 square inches and under is $1.00 per square inch
2) 201-300 square inches is $ .75 per square inch
3) 301- 1000 square inches is $ .50 per square inch
4) Over 1000 square inches is negotiable
